Aug. 27: Foreclosure Prevention Workshop, 7 p.m. Sponsored by Business & Community Lenders of Texas, 1322 Record Crossing, Dallas (see map). Workshop is offered in English and Spanish, and will offer strategies to avoid foreclosure, and help participants created an action plan to keep their home. For information, call 1-877-688-7457.

Aug.28: Homeownership Preservation Workshop, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Lewisville Municipal Annex, Community Room, 1197 W. Main St., Lewisville (see map).  Workshop includes presentations on what to do if you’re behind on your mortgage and opportunities to meet with HUD-approved housing counselors. Participants are asked to bring mortgage and financial documentation for more targeted counseling. Call 214-540-6862 for details.
